In Automizy you can move contacts from one automation to another.

For example, when a contact goes through your thank-you automation, you’d like to send them to a welcome nurturing sequence.

This can be done through 2 options:

  1. Use tags to move contacts between automations
  2. Use the action: Move contact to other automation

Let’s go through each one separately.

For the sake of simplicity, I will use this case: Move contacts FROM thank-you automation TO a welcome nurture campaign.

1. Use tags to move contacts between automations

You can use contact tagging in automation to apply tags for contacts who fit certain criteria you define.

For example, when a contact opens your thank-you email, you want to give them a tag “Engaged”.

And if they’re engaged you move those contacts to a nurturing campaign. Here is how it’s done.

1. Open your 1st automation: Thank-you automation

Your first automation is the automation you want to send contacts from.

In the first step, apply a tag to contacts who open your thank you email.

Click on “Do this” in the yes branch of your automation.

Click “Add tag to contact”.

Select an existing tag you want to apply to contacts who open your thank-you email. Or you can create a new tag.

Once done, click “Ok” to save. By the end, your automation should look like the following.

2. Open your 2nd automation: Welcome nurture campaign

Your second automation is the automation you want to send contacts to.

This means the first automation applies the tag, which will trigger the second automation.

Use “Get a tag” trigger for this automation to be able to pul the contacts you’ve applied tags for in your first automation.

Select the same tag you’ve applied in your first automation. Click “Ok” to save.

Once you set up your trigger, you can continue to build your automation.

That’s it! That’s how you move contacts from one automation to another using tags.

2. Use the action: Move contact to other automation

Your first automation is the automation you want to send contacts from.

In the first step, apply an action “Move contacts to other automation” to contacts who open your thank you email.

Click on “Do this” in the yes branch of your automation.

Click “Move contacts to other automation”.

Select the automation you want to send contacts to, then click “Ok” to save.

Once done your automation will look like the following.

That’s how to move contacts dynamically between automation. If you face any challenge, please reach out to our support team.
