Nothing will happen until there is no contact who has fulfilled your trigger. 

For example, the automation trigger is the tag: first_workflow. (check the example here) If there aren't any contacts in your database who have this "first_workflow" tag, nothing will happen. Only when someone gets this tag will they start on the Automation.

If you add this tag to yourself, or to any other contact, you'll start on this automation immediately. Then it performs everything like you built it: wait the days you set up, check the condition(s), send the email or add a tag(s) to your contact and so on.

How can you monitor this?
